Entrevistas Erasmus – Archil Elizbarashvili
Today are honored to welcome Archil Elizbarashvili, Guest Lecturer in Operating Systems (Linux course) at BTU – Business and Technology University (Georgia), where he also teaches in growing digital and technical education programmes.
Archil is joining us for a week under the Erasmus+ KA171 programme to deliver sessions in Linux at CPIFP Los Enlaces, bringing his deep experience in open-source systems, and technology education leadership.

Hello Archil! Let’s start by introducing yourself. What is your position at your university?
My name is Archil Elizbarashvili. I am an invited lecturer at Business and Technology University (BTU) and coordinator of the Franco-Georgian program in Computer Science at Tbilisi State University (TSU).
Why did you decide to participate in this job-shadowing opportunity at CPIFP Los Enlaces?
I had heard many positive things about CPIFP Los Enlaces from my colleagues at BTU – about its motivated staff, serious academic environment, and excellent students. This encouraged me to come, experience these good practices firsthand, and learn from the institution.
What were your expectations coming into this experience?

Now that the week is ending, did the experience meet your expectations? How so?
Yes, absolutely. I was convinced by the quality and rigor of the curriculum, and I was able to establish new professional contacts within the institution. In addition, discovering Zaragoza was a truly remarkable experience
What did you enjoy most about the job-shadowing experience here?
I especially appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and readiness to learn during an intensive teaching week. I was also impressed by the staff’s professionalism, kindness, and willingness to quickly and effectively solve any issues.
What opportunities exist for future collaboration between our institutions after this experience?
As a lecturer, I see opportunities to continue sharing knowledge and best practices through other courses. Another promising avenue is the possibility of student internships, which would further strengthen cooperation.
How can you apply what you learned here to enhance student learning back home?
Teaching a new target audience gave me valuable pedagogical insights. I plan to integrate these good practices into my own courses to enrich the learning experience of my students.
How do you perceive the role of international programs like Erasmus+ in shaping the future of education?
Erasmus+ is extremely valuable for educational institutions. It helps build international contacts, foster cooperation, and exchange expertise. It also provides opportunities to gain practical skills, acquire specific know-how, and experience cultural and social diversity.
Would you recommend the job-shadowing experience to your colleagues? Why?
Yes, definitely. It is a unique opportunity to meet new colleagues, discover a new environment, and engage with new groups of students.
What advice would you give to other educators considering participating in a job-shadowing or Erasmus+ program with CPIFP Los Enlaces?
Make the most of the experience – take every opportunity to learn from the new working environment and exchange ideas with colleagues.
